- 1946 July 26, 1946: Aloha Airlines estabished as Trans-Pacific Airlines

1950s
- changed its name to "TPA: The Aloha Airline"
- 1959: changed its name to "Aloha Airlines"

1960s
- 1963: two Vickers Viscounts aircraft joined the Aloha Airlines fleet
- 1966: British Aircraft Corp BAC 2011 joined the Aloha Airlines fleet
- 1969 March: began transition to an all-Boeing 737 airline

1970s
- 1970: first of three attempts to merge with Hawaiian Airlines

1980s
- 1988: second of three attempts to merge with Hawaiian Airlines

2000s
- 2001: Third of three attempts to merge with Hawaiian Airlines
- 2006: Rival Go Airlines was launched by Mesa Airlines
- 2007: Aloha Airlines was Hawaii's 10th largest private employer
- 2008 March: Aloha Airlfines filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
- 2008 March 31: Aloha Airlines ceased operating
