Effective December 20, 2010 Kai Management Services takes over day-to-day operations at Honolulu's Pagoda Hotel. Aqua Hotels is the parent company of Kai Management. New owner Peter Savio plans to spend $2 million on upgrades for the floating restaurant and another $4 million in refurbishments to the hotel.

The locally-owned 359-room Pagoda Hotel and Floating Restaurant is being sold to Honolulu developer Peter Savio. Pagoda Management Services said Savio reached agreement Friday to acquire the property from HTH Corporation. Pagoda Management is an affiliate of Aqua Hotels and Resorts, which Savio is keeping as management partner.
