The Ilikai Hotel appeared ih the opening credits of the original 1968 and 2010 re-make of the Hawaii Five-O television series.

The Ilikai Hotel opened on February 29, 1964, with a total of 1050 units. Construction began soon after of an adjacent additional wing known as the Yacht Harbor Towerwith 360 more hotel rooms. That wing was located across the open air lobby and pool.
