ADDRESS: Hawaii Route 560, about 1.4 miles west of Hanalei
LOCATION: Wainiha, North Kauai Island, Hawaii
SITUATED: between Hanalei Bay and Wainiha Bay

- no protective reef, strong waves, high surf, powerful rip currents
- beach is not safe for swimming or surfing
- beach was featured in the 1958 film "South Pacific"
- the mouth of the Lumahai River is on the west end of the beach
