West Maui Slack Key Guitar Concert Series

Here is the schedule for the Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Concert Series for the remainder of 2008. The concerts in this series take place every week at the Napili Kai Beach Resort on the west coast of Maui Island and they are hosted by George Kahumoku, Jr. The concerts typically take place on Tuesday or Wednesday evening, and they usually begin at 7:30 pm, but check with the resort or the event organizers to confirm.

The producers of this concert series just released their 4th CD recording at the end of September and it's called "The Spirit of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar". The album is available for purchase on the SlackKey.com Web site. Their first 3 albums received Hawaiian Music Grammy Awards from the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2006, 2007, and 2008 (for best Hawaiian Music Albums released in 2005, 2006, and 2007).
