Default Former Pau Hana Inn Sold to Molokai Health Center

In May of 2009 the New Hope Christian Fellowship sold the former Pau Hana Inn to the Molokai Community Health Center, an organization also known as the Molokai Ohana Health Center. The Molokai Ohana Health Center first opened in 2004 to provide health care services to Native Hawaiians and low-income Molokai residents.

The Pau Hana Inn was a 40-room hotel built in 1970 on about six acres of oceanfront land in the Molokai town of Kaunakakai. The Molokai Ranch sold the hotel to the New Hope Christian Fellowship in 2002 for less then $1 million. The fellowship planned to use it as a religious retreat, but it did not end up getting used very often, which is probably one of the reasons it is being sold again.
