New Koolau Magic Theatre Opening in Kaneohe
Press release about the April 24, 2009 grand opening of the new Koolau Magic Theatre in Kaneohe:

At 7 p.m. on April 24 GD Productions will unveil the new Ko'olau Magic Theatre to the Windward Community. It will feature the Great Davidio, David Brown and the musing Mr. O, Harvey Ouchi. The theater is located in the Ko'olau Shopping Center on Kahekili Highway. Both are veterans of magic and will be performing a variety of magic including parlor, closeup and some stage.
The Great Davidio is a practicing dentist and is the main motivation behind the theater. Mr. O is an educational specialist for the Department of Education, Special Education Section and has been working for the DOE for over 34 years. The theater is intended to bring the performer closer to the audience for an intimate performance. In the end the entertainment value and interaction is much more personable and enjoyable.
Even audience members are encourage to get to know one another during the performance. Both performers were regular performers at Montys Magic Theater back in the early 2000's.
David Brown, DDS, originally from Michigan , moved here in the early 70's and worked at Palama Settlement Dental Clinic for a year, right after dental school. He started the Temple Valley Dental Group in 1975. He has been voted one of Hawaii 's Top Dentist, by his peers, for the past few years. He has been involved with magic for over 25 years, and was one of the early performers at Montys Magic Theater. He enjoys all kinds of magic, especially comedy and parlor. Phone: 235-2744

"Mr. O" grew up in Pearl City and graduated from Waipahu High School and the University of Hawaii . This home grown magician has been an educator for over 34 years and in magic for over 15 years. He was a featured performer at Montys Magic Theater from opening night and continued performing when it moved to the Ward Yum Yum Tree. He enjoys closeup, comedy, and stage magic. You will enjoy his bright energy, friendliness and humor. He is now performing at the Pearl City IHOP on Sunday mornings and occasionally substitutes at Tony Roma's on Tuesday evenings for magician Glen Bailey. Phone: 808-284-5974
