This week Mokulele Airlines announced that in November of 2008 they will begin offering inter-island flights on 70-seat jet aircraft between Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, and Lihue (Oahu, Big Island, and Kauai). In order to provide this service, Mokulele entered into an agreement with Republic Airways of Indiana to have one of Republic's subsidiaries, Shuttle America, operate up to four Embraer 170 jets in Hawaii under the Mokulele Airlines name.

Mokulele Airlines (http://www.mokuleleairlines.com/)
- Founded in 1998
- Based in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii Island
- Original name was Mokulele Flight Service
- Acquired by current owner Bill Boyer in 2005
- Fleet includes seven 208B Cessna Grand Caravans
- More then 50 daily departures to 7 Hawaii cities

Republic Airways Holdings (http://www.republicairways.com/)
- Owns Chautauqua & Republic Airways & Shuttle America
- Employees 4400 people
- Operates 233 jet aircraft
- Flies under partner brands such as United Express, Delta Connection,
Continental Express, US Airways Express, and others

I'm not sure if this alliance means the jets will have Mokulele Airlines markings, Republic Airways markings, or Shuttle America markings. My guess is they they will be branded as Mokulele aircraft. Does anybody know for sure? I'll try to get some pictures of their planes when they start flying.
